The Promdates [ramonescore, pop punk, Norway]

The Promdates were bound to happen sooner or later. Two guys (Are and Einar) with common interest and passion for good pop-punk talked about starting a band for a couple of years, but nothing happend. Mainly because they lived too far from each other, and were busy with other bands. Then Einar finally got some sense and moved to the city. A drummer joined, and voilá, the Promdates were born.
The Promdates play happy feel good songs and sing about girls, beer, partying, movies and boredom. They've not rediscovered the wheel or anything, but they play good, catchy pop-punk with tons of vocal harmonies.
If you're into pop-punk you should really give them a chance. Maybe you'll like 'em, maybe you don't.
Oh, and they're from Norway.

Last Chucks

In the winter of 1998, three underestimated diner junkies from Atlanta joined forces with the single goal of playing catchy caffeinated songs that would take rock and roll by storm and one day lead it in new and innovative directions. These subterranean intellectuals would come to be known as The Last Chucks.

Fueled by coffee and cigarettes, The Last Chucks hit the studio in March of 2001 to record their powerful debut album, Zombie High, hailed as “just great punk music . . . a good cd to have” (www.punkmusic.com) with “lots of up-tempo, sunny guitar playing” (punk planet), which has now reached the bless-ed eardrums of fans in over ten countries worldwide.
The Last Chucks have shared the stage with: 30 Foot Fall, Ataris, Bullets To Broadway, Citizen Fish, Darlington, Diesel Boy, Flatus, Franz Ferdinand, FYP, Gadjits, GOB, Jackie Papers, Killers, Lillingtons, Moral Crux, Parasites, Queers, Teen Idols, Unseen, etc.

Sugus [Old School Pop Punk/Spain]

Formed in Madrid in 1995, Sugus has been one of the main spanish melodic punk rock acts in its thirteen years of history. Highly influenced by bands as the ramones and early screeching weasel. Their first album, "Always look on the bright side of life" (Punch Records)combined catchy punk rock melodies, some snotty lyrics and hardcore influences to became and instant classic. After some years in which the band never stopped touring, their second album had to wait until 2003 to be released. "Highschool revenge" (Rumble Records), enterered some minor line up changes, and a poppier feeling, well described as spanish leather jacket punk rock. March 2008 is the release date for their third full lenght, "Learn to be a mornard", without any doubt, their best effort ever.

Трехаккордное безумие из Мадрида! Мужики играют еще с 1995 года, записали несколько релизов, надеюсь, запишут еще. Предпочитают играть быстро и угарно, ориентируясь на таких заслуженных деятелей сцены как Screeching Weasel, Ramones, Vindictives, Queers, 7 Seconds и тд.
Ну а теперь самое интересное. Если бы сам не увидел, то ни за что не поверил бы... Sugus подписаны на BELLS ON RECORDS :) Радует, что руководство лейбла интересуется не только гитарными извращениями аля Actionmen, но и вполне традиционном панк роком.
