Formed in a hot and humid Cincinnati basement, Chip Kellam, Casey Beagle and Rob Schumacher began to write intelligent and emotionally driven punk rock as Saturday Supercade (The Cade) in the summer of 1996. After just a short couple of months the band had produced a 10-Song demo, which coupled with extensive regional shows started to gain them a large fan base. Eager to release more material, The Cade headed back into the studio and created a 4 song 7" in February of 1997. This record helped the band gain even more momentum and the recognition of a NYC-based punk label Red Leader Records (RLR). In late 1999, the band released their debut full-length "A Study In Adult Contemporary Punk Rock" on RLR and have since been on three eastern/midwest tours in support of it, playing with bands like River City High, New Found Glory, Saves The Day, Less Than Jake, The Weatherthans, Elliot, Kill Your Idols, Midtown, Cooter, Weston, The Movielife, Samiam, At The Drive-In, Slick Shoes and Bigwig.
